The beach of Coin-du-Banc (10 km from the village of Percé on the way to Gaspé), extends over nearly 7 km. A calm and peaceful place, this beach is very popular with visitors and Percé residents. It’s also known for its variety of rocky of varying colors, sand dollars, pieces of polished glass and shells. This area is also ideal for birdwatching because of the nearby Barachois.
The site is accessible from the beach road at Coin-du-Banc and has some seasonal services (picnic tables and public restrooms). There is no lifeguard service. Caution is always advised. The average maximum water temperature (about 16 degrees Celsius) is usually reached in mid-July and August.
